This is something you may not have not ever seen, there are only a handful of closed grain sequoia wood dial 1803s known and they are considered to be prototypes to the 18038 wood dial Day-Dates. This is the only example I’ve ever had and it is in extremely good condition with no damage to the dial and all lume intact. The case appears to be unpolished and the bracelet has very little stretch. The super crisp French importation hallmarks on the caseback of the Societe Rolex and two owl heads are also a nice touch. These hallmarks are very rarely seen in general, however they can be “commonly” found on 6264 Lemon Paul Newman Daytonas.
